Getting here.

From Durban, take the N2 highway northbound towards Hluhluwe. Continue along the scenic route, passing Stanger and Mtubatuba. Stay on the N2 until you reach the Hluhluwe offramp. Turn left and follow the signs to the town. From here, local signage will guide you to your destination. The journey is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

From Johannesburg, take the N3 highway northbound towards Durban. Continue along the N3 and then merge onto the N2 highway northbound at the interchange near Cedara. Stay on the N2, passing through Pietermaritzburg and Estcourt. Continue past the towns of Mtubatuba and Stanger. Once you approach Hluhluwe, take the R22 offramp towards Hluhluwe. Follow the R22 road, and signs will direct you to Umkhumbi Lodge. The journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours.
